The Pigtronix Moon Pool packs an incredibly expressive, dual-engine modulation ecosystem into an ultra-slim micro enclosure configured to save premium pedalboard space. Stepping completely away from sterile digital processing algorithms, this pure analog signal path houses a lush, four-stage VCA-based phase shifter alongside a warm, variable-bias tremolo network. A central three-way mini toggle switch serves as a hardware master router, allowing musicians to isolate the individual phaser circuit, run the tremolo completely standalone, or mash them up in series. Running them together blends deep frequency shifting with rhythmic amplitude pulsation, delivering complex, swirling soundscapes that breathe naturally alongside your instrument.
Setting this multi-voiced unit apart from conventional static modulators is its highly advanced dynamic envelope response matrix. The internal layout features a pair of independent LFOs linked directly to an internal envelope follower that tracks the input volume of your guitar or bass in real time. Rather than running at a fixed tempo, the speeds of the phaser and tremolo can be independently controlled by how hard you strike the strings. The Sensitivity knob adjusts the threshold response to match different picking styles, while two dedicated three-position dynamics toggles determine whether the modulation sweeps accelerate, decelerate, or remain perfectly constant when responding to your picking attack.
