The JHS 3 Series Tape Delay streamlines classic tape echo behaviors into an intuitive, three-knob layout. The Mix control acts as an Echo Volume, allowing you to blend your dry guitar or violin signal seamlessly with the wet delay line for everything from low-profile ambient depth to high-profile repeats. The Time knob directly alters the virtual tape motor speed, letting you quickly adjust the delay length while altering the pitch and tempo characteristics exactly like a physical reel-to-reel machine.
The Repeats control manages the feedback loop, scaling from a single, clean slapback echo to an infinite wash of decaying repeats. As the signal cycles around the virtual tape loop, it naturally undergoes controlled degradation, introducing a warm, vintage lo-fi character. Engaging the Flutter toggle (up position) introduces authentic mechanical imperfections, replicating the organic wow, flutter, and pitch warble of an aging tape machine.
Built inside the streamlined, performance-friendly 3 Series chassis, this pedal maximizes pedalboard space without sacrificing road-ready durability. The circuit requires standard 9VDC negative center power and pulls a light 65 mA current draw, making it highly compatible with multi-output power supplies. Utilizing voltages higher than 9VDC will void the factory warranty.
