The JHS 3 Series Overdrive delivers an incredibly wide spectrum of dirt textures inside an intuitive, straightforward layout. Engineered to respect the natural voice of your guitar and amplifier, this circuit spans from subtle, touch-sensitive edge-of-breakup grit to rich, saturated medium-gain drive. The Volume control sets your overall output level, offering plenty of clean headroom to push the front end of a tube amp. The Drive knob manages the amount of internal distortion, smoothly transitioning from a transparent clean boost to a singing, sustaining lead tone.
Unlike a standard tone control that simply rolls off treble, the specialized Body knob acts as an active bass and low-mid contour. Turning it clockwise fattens up single-coil pickups with a thick, robust punch, while rolling it back tightens up muddy humbuckers for a focused, mix-cutting bite. To expand your sonic options, a heavy-duty Gain toggle alters the circuit's compression and clipping threshold. Flipped down, the pedal delivers wide-open, dynamic boost textures. Flicking the switch up introduces a more compressed, high-gain saturated clipping profile that sings with rich harmonic overtones.
Housed in the standard, highly durable all-white 3 Series chassis, this pedal optimizes valuable space on your pedalboard.
