The JHS 3 Series Delay offers an incredibly rich palette of echo textures, spanning a wide timing window from a tight 80 ms to an expansive 800 ms. The Mix control dictates the overall balance between your dry instrument tone and the wet delay line, allowing you to dial in everything from low-profile underlying warmth to prominent, rhythmic echoes. The Time knob gives you fine control over the exact spacing of your repeats, letting you easily shift from a snappy, rockabilly slapback to long, sweeping ambient soundscapes.
The Repeats knob governs the overall length of the feedback trail, moving smoothly from a single, isolated reflection to an endless, self-oscillating wall of sound. To expand your tonal options, JHS included a dedicated Type toggle switch that changes the voicing of the delay path. Flipped down, the pedal runs in a crisp, modern digital voicing for perfectly clean and articulate repeats. Flicking the switch up introduces a dark, warm, and highly compressed analog filter that beautifully mimics the lo-fi degradation of classic bucket-brigade (BBD) delay circuits.
Housed in the standard, streamlined all-white 3 Series metal chassis, this compact utility stompbox maximizes available space on your pedalboard. Built with rugged side-mounted 1/4-inch input and output jacks, the high-grade true bypass switching ensures a completely transparent signal path whenever the pedal is turned off. The internal digital processing operates on standard 9VDC negative center power and requires a 71 mA current draw. Do not run this pedal at higher voltages, as doing so will damage the internal components and void the factory warranty.
