Join us November 21st for a gear and sound-focused workshop. The session will be divided into two parts. The first 30 minutes will be a presentation explaining the acoustic signal chain from pickup to pedals to PA (or amp), including pickup types, cables, and power. Then, there will be a pedal tour demoing a range of pedal types from delay, reverb and chorus to more specialized pedals such as octaves and sustainers.
The second part will be an open pedal lab with hands-on stations for you to try different pedals with your own guitar. Guitars from the store are available to try (and buy if tempted!) if yours isn't an acoustic-electric. Headphones are provided, or bring your own wired pair.
A follow-up Zoom session one week later offers review and Q&A support.
Come curious and explore what your acoustic guitar can do. Fair warning: trying out pedals may lead to a very specific wish list this holiday season.
Cost: $10 Donation to the Michigan Fingerstyle Guitar Society
