“I’ll tell you all what I said when I picked up my Strat. I played a few notes and said, “Wow... this setup makes me want to play!”
It’s true. When I got home I plugged in and felt inspired to play. Prior to taking my Strat in, I experienced all sorts of issues like the bottom string popping off the fret wire and dead notes that bottomed out when bending.
With the new setup, I’m able to play up and down the neck and I’m no longer thinking about the setup - I just want to play.
To me, that is the highest standard for a great setup, and Pursell achieved that goal for me.
